Upper Shore Regional Council presents A Social Media Workshop with Mindie Burgoyne

As part of the Upper Shore Harvest Directory’s ongoing effort to provide support for the growth of local businesses, we’ve been working to coordinate a Social Media Workshop. We’ve just finalized the dates and location and we’ve lined up our speaker for the event. As part of the partnership in the Upper Shore Regional Council, these social media workshops will be free to agribusinesses from Cecil, Kent, and Queen Anne’s County.

Mindie Burgoyne works for the State of Maryland assisting rural businesses and local governments with economic development issues. She is also a writer and speaker who runs a successful training platform on harnessing the power of social media in business. Studies show that 62% of people worldwide communicate through social media. Using social media can only widen the opportunities for your small business. Mindie Burgoyne will show you how to fully take advantage of the social media world.  Ms. Burgoyne found her way through social media when publicizing her book, Haunted Eastern Shore, and has plenty of tips to share.

Jean Fabi and Joanne Richart-Young, the Economic Development Manager for Queen Anne’s County and the Agriculture Coordinator for Cecil County respectively, have been working with the Washington College GIS team to coordinate the event in their respective counties. Along with them, Doris Mason—the Executive Director of the Upper Shore Regional Council— has been working to arrange the event in Kent County.  We’ve worked hard to arrange for all interested parties to meet for the workshop and to have time afterwards to meet and talk. Please see the poster below for the specifics on dates, times and locations.

If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to or (410)-810-2127.  Any questions or concerns can be sent to or call (410)-810-2125. We hope to see you at the workshop and to have a minute with you during the networking hours!
